The right model depends on the door material, thickness, frame, current lock position, available clearance and the access features you want. Use the free door compatibility check before ordering if you are unsure.
Often, yes. The S1 and S2 are options for entrances with security doors, but every setup still needs a clearance check. Send photos showing both doors, the current handles and the gap between them so we can confirm the safest fit.
Please submit: the outside of the door, the inside of the door, the door edge and thickness with a measuring tape, the current lock position and stile measurements, and the frame or strike plate. If there is a security or screen door, also show the clearance between both doors.
Yes. The door compatibility form accepts the required photos directly in the store. You do not need to email them separately.
Automations Smart provides professional installation across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Perth. Availability can vary by suburb and project type, so include your postcode when requesting a quote.
Local access methods such as fingerprint, PIN, card or mechanical key generally do not rely on your home internet, but remote app functions and notifications may. Exact behaviour varies by model; check the product page or ask us about the model you are considering.
Follow the charging or battery-replacement instructions for your model as soon as a low-battery warning appears. Many models also provide an emergency power option and a mechanical backup key. Keep the backup key in a secure place outside the locked property.
Make sure an adult is available, the installer can access both sides of the door and any existing keys are ready. Remove items that block the doorway and tell us about alarms, intercoms, wiring, unusual frames or known alignment issues before work starts.
Faulty products and installation services are covered by Australian Consumer Law. Change-of-mind and cancellation requests depend on the order status and any work already approved. Read the full Policies, Returns, Refunds & Cancellations page or contact us before returning an item.
Unless a different period is clearly stated before purchase, every product supplied by AutomationsSmart includes a two-year product warranty and installation workmanship completed by AutomationsSmart includes a five-year workmanship warranty. Ongoing technical support is also available. These benefits are additional to Australian Consumer Law rights. Read the Warranty & Support Policy.
Use live chat, the support form, email sales@automationssmart.com or call 03 4332 5130. Include your order or invoice number, lock model, what happened, any warning lights or messages, and photos or a short video where useful.
For your security, we may need to verify ownership before helping with account or access changes. Never send a PIN, fingerprint data, mechanical-key details, password or complete payment-card information through live chat or a website form.
Urgent safety issue? Do not force or dismantle a powered lock if this could damage the door, wiring or battery. If anyone is trapped, threatened or at immediate risk, call emergency services on 000. Automations Smart support is not an emergency service.
