Policies, Returns, Refunds & Cancellations
Use this page as a plain-language guide to Automations Smart returns, refunds, cancellations, delivery, warranty support and privacy. The linked policy pages contain more detail. Nothing in any policy excludes, restricts or changes a right or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect products
Contact us as soon as reasonably possible if a product is faulty, unsafe, damaged in transit, materially different from its description, unsuitable for a purpose discussed with us, or not the item ordered. We may reasonably assess the product before confirming the remedy.
Depending on the problem and whether it is major or minor, Australian Consumer Law remedies may include repair, replacement, refund, service rectification or cancellation. These rights apply automatically and can continue beyond a voluntary or manufacturer warranty. Read the full refund policy or see the ACCC consumer-guarantees guidance.
Change of mind and order cancellations
Australian Consumer Law does not require a change-of-mind return. We may approve one at our discretion for an unused, uninstalled and complete product in resalable condition. Contact us for written approval and return instructions before sending anything back.
Contact us promptly to cancel an order. A full refund is normally available before dispatch and before approved special-order, custom configuration or other unrecoverable work has started. After dispatch, a voluntary cancellation is handled as a change-of-mind request unless a legal right to cancel applies.
Installation cancellations and additional work
Contact us as early as possible to cancel or reschedule an installation. Any appointment charge must be disclosed before booking and reflect reasonable costs already incurred. It does not apply where we cancel, where a statutory right applies, or where our product or service has failed to meet a consumer guarantee.
Suitability depends on the door, frame, existing lock position, strike plate, thickness, clearances and any security door. The free door compatibility check helps identify these before booking. We will explain and seek approval for reasonably foreseeable additional work before proceeding.
Warranty and ongoing support
Unless a different period is clearly stated in the quotation, order confirmation or invoice, all products supplied by AutomationsSmart include a two-year product warranty. Installation workmanship completed by AutomationsSmart includes a five-year workmanship warranty. Each period begins when Refurbix Pty Ltd receives full payment for the relevant product or installation service. These voluntary warranties and ongoing technical support are additional to Australian Consumer Law rights.
Door photos, privacy and live chat
Door, frame, strike-plate and property photos submitted for compatibility or support are used for quoting, installation and support. They are not published in marketing, social media, reviews or a public gallery without separate permission. Do not include people, house numbers, PINs, keys, access cards, passwords or complete payment-card details. See the Privacy Policy for collection, use, access, correction and complaint information.
